Wagenborg Passagiersdiensten terminates water taxi service (Press release)
Starting from 1 September 2020, Wagenborg Passagiersdiensten will terminate the water taxi service on the routes Ameland-Holwerd v.v. and Schiermonnikoog-Lauwersoog v.v.
As the fast ferries sailings have been restarted, there is less demand for water taxis. The fast ferry also offers a good alternative for passengers who want to travel to and from the islands quickly. To better meet the demands of our passengers, Wagenborg Passagiersdiensten will increase the number of departures of the fast ferry on both routes in the coming years. A crossing by fast ferry takes only 20 minutes. The fast ferries have room for 48 passengers and sail according to a fixed timetable. Passengers can easily book a seat on board via the Wagenborg Passagiersdiensten website.
